Excited to be attending Writers' Week at this year's Perth Festival again this year. On the Saturday I'll be talking with author Amanda Curtin about my latest novel set in 17th century Paris and the ties that bind a sorceress, a demon, and a stolen child... Come along if that sounds like your bag.
I'm pleased that my third novel Cairo will be one of ten books featured in The State Library of Victoria's Thursday Night Bookclub - along with books by Toni Jordan, Alec Patric, and others. Pull up a beanbag every Thursday evening this summer and autumn, get comfy in Melbourne's 'home of books', and listen to some of the best writers in the city talk about their work.
My 2013 novel Cairo was the story of a naive country boy called Tom Button who becomes swept up in bohemian permissiveness, and even crime, in the Cairo apartment building in 1980s Fitzroy. Join me this winter for a chat which will take place at the very setting of the book.
Hi there. I'm very pleased and flattered to have again been invited to attend the annual Etonnant Voyageurs Festival in St Malo, France. My visit in May this year will coincide with the release of my third novel translated into French, 'La Compagnie des Artists' or 'Cairo' in the original English. Not sure of my sessions over the weekend, but check the website for updates closer to the time.
